Our story: From circular economy, via 47 best practices to the launch of P2S

It all started in 2018, while working on subscription model-related projects.

After founding a breakfast delivery start-up in 2017, Florian André got to work on subscription models for the first time in 2018 as a consultant for two different projects in the circular economy.

Writing a Master’s thesis about subscription business model transformations.

Fascinated by the win-win-win aspect of subscription models (for providers, customers, and our planet), Florian writes his master thesis about "How manufacturing companies can transform their business model from selling products towards selling subscriptions."

Realising companies faced very similar challenges on their transformation journey. 47 subscription best practices.

While interacting with successful subscription companies about their transformation journey, Florian realised that the vast majority of companies faced similar challenges when developing their subscription models. He came up with 47 best practices to increase the likelihood of success when developing such models.

Launching P2S Management Consulting.

Passionate about progress and with a love for driving change, Florian founded P2S Management Consulting - with a mission to help companies develop their own Subscription, Pay-per-Use and As-a-Service models.

We started drawing out concrete ways to successfully overcome common challenges faced when developing Subscription, Pay-per-Use and As-a-Service models. This is how the Subscription Action Plan™ was born - a guide full of dos, don'ts, and examples.

We realised that most successful Subscription, Pay-per-Use and As-a-Service models were implemented with the help of additional service partners. From subscription financing partners, via legal experts in drafting subscription contracts, to subscription management software providers. Therefore, we created an Ecosystem with 30+ partner companies.

Consultant/Facilitator/Moderator (Part-Time)

About the job

Job Summary: As a Consultant/Facilitator/Moderator at P2S Management Consulting, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients' business model transformation journey by conducting workshops on various topics related to subscription and as-a-Service business models. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality workshops that provide actionable insights and guidance to our clients. You will work closely with our clients to understand their specific needs and help them develop their own subscription and as-a-Service business models.


  • Conduct workshops: Facilitate and moderate workshops for clients on 20 different topics related to developing subscription and as-a-Service business models. You’ll use P2S’ Subscription Action Plan™ that includes the workshops.
  • Workshop preparation: Collaborate with the client project team to understand the client's goals, objectives, and requirements for each workshop. The material for each workshop will be created beforehand, however, it is required to profoundly read and get familiar with the material to be presented prior to the workshop.
  • Deliver engaging sessions: Present workshop content clearly, concisely, and engagingly. Utilize effective facilitation techniques to encourage active participation and promote collaborative learning among workshop participants.
  • Answer questions and provide guidance: Address clients’ questions, concerns, and challenges related to subscription and as-a-Service business models. Provide expert advice, insights, and practical solutions to help clients overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
  • Adapt content to the audience: Tailor workshop content and delivery approach to the audience's level of knowledge, industry-specific challenges, and organizational context. Customize examples and case studies to resonate with participants' specific business scenarios.
  • Facilitate group activities: Organize and facilitate group activities, brainstorming sessions, and interactive exercises to foster creativity, problem-solving, and knowledge sharing among participants.
  • Capture feedback and insights: Collect participant feedback, capture valuable insights, and identify areas for improvement in the workshop content or delivery. Continuously refine workshop materials based on feedback and emerging industry trends.
  • Stay updated on industry trends: Keep abreast of the latest trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in subscription and as-a-Service business models. Share knowledge with the internal team and incorporate relevant insights into workshop content.


  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, management, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Proven experience as a workshop facilitator, trainer, or educator, preferably in the area of subscription or as-a-Service business models.
  • In-depth understanding of subscription and as-a-Service business models, including industry trends, challenges, and best practices.
  • Having worked in one of the following industries is a plus: consulting, medical devices, manufacturing, energy equipment, utilities (water, oil, electricity, ...), metalworking, heating, cooling, ventilation, air conditioning, construction, agricultural & farming, process, filling, and packaging, electrical and electronics manufacturing, automation equipment, material handling, logistics, industrial machinery.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire workshop participants.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and build rapport.
  • Ability to adapt workshop content to different audiences and industries.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think strategically.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple workshops simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using presentation software and other relevant tools.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations as needed.
  • Certifications in facilitation, training, or related areas are a plus.
  • Languages: full proficiency in English is required, any other languages are a plus.
